Kobold is available in two grades, the cheaper seed raised option which shows variabiliyty in height and flowering or the far better vegetative selection that is multiplied purely via division. Plants form a low clump of grassy looking leaves, bearing spikes of bright magenta-purple flowers that open from the top down beginning in midsummer. This selection is compact in habit, especially useful in tubs or mixed containers
